Default Interior LED Lights

Anybody replace the roof interior lights with LEDs? It's weird they don't seem to fully shut off after the doors are closed because of the low resistance I think. You put a regular festoon bulb in and then they shut off all the way, seems strange. Discuss...

I've been planning on making the switch-over, but, now you've got me thinking!

I changed out several interior and exterior lights on my 04 VW R-32 and the amp draw was so low on the new LED bulbs, that it was causing the CPU to trip codes. They did turn off completely tho.
The CPU would think bulbs were burned out or at least not working for some reason.
If you are getting some amp draw with the new LED's installed, that could be a problem
Have you tried testing the circuit with a volt meter after the doors are shut and bulbs should be off ?
Hopefully there should be no voltage at all
Good luck

Yeah I have the same issue. Replaced all my interior bulbs with LEDS. They don't seem to give off quite as much light but I'm liking the look a lot more. Anyway, my map lights with the buttons all go off completely but the 3 dome lights do not. I havent checked to foot wells to see if those are also still on or not. But the amount of light is barely noticeable, I had to point it out to people before anyone even noticed. At first I was thinking of getting a resistor like i needed to use for the front blinker LED's but I don't mind it and think I'll just leave the mood lighting as is. LOL.

Default xx a guess xx

mite be that they find a tiny leakage path thru the control circuits, a path not low enuf to lite a reg bulb but enuf for the led to come slightly alive. they will conduct with very lo volts. ?? actually lo current.
ill try to buy some and test it out
