When your key gets stuck in the ignition, that is GMs way of telling you "Hey, your Battery is DEAD."

Charge it completely and reconnect it with quality aftermarket Battery Terminal Connectors, like Stingers or your favorite brand.

I'm glad you said it Doc. I was reading the thread and the whole time thinking the battery went dead. Doors open and key in accessory will kill a battery. GMs do have the sleep function but, if your opening and closing the door and turn the key it won't sleep. Charge up the battery and have it tested.
