Default Hummer h3 really sluggish

My 2006 3.5l h3 feels really sluggish. When I floor it I get little to no acceleration. I had 33s on there before and have 35s now and it's even slower. It has 87k on it. Is this how hummer normally drive? Or what could be wrong?

From your posted pix you have Mud Terrains which suck power. Not sure of the size but 35s will suck the life out of that 3.5.

The 06 3.5L wasn't a powerhouse to begin with. Have you done any engine mods to boost performance?

Have you performed regular maintenance on it (oil changes, drive line fluids, MAF sensor cleaning, proper tire inflation, throttle body cleaning, plugs, etc.)

If not at 87k you may want to start by investing in changing out ALL the fluids with new synthetic fluids.

I had all my fluids flushed a couple months ago. I'm gonna change my spark plugs and clean maf and throttle body. Maybe that'll fix the problem?

Default Peddle Power

The BEAST!
Hello all. Last month I bought my first HUMMER. H3 2006. From what I've read the '06 H3 is not known for get up and go power. How much peddle I should be experiencing I do not know since this is my first HUMMER. Any ideas on what I should check out to see if I can improve the performance. Exterior and Engine photos attached. Thanks all! Appreciate this forum!

You might look at this video first. A header pipe gets the biggest increase, but its really about making the entire system work together. Look into getting an AirDoc intake, ported throttle body, PCM tune and Super Sparks for the ignition wires too. I'm not convinced a cat-back system by itself does anything but make more noise, but with the other mods it will add a couple more hp. Clean your MAF and throttle body, then put in new OEM plugs. Stay away from bigger, heavier wheel/tire combos.
