Default Howling sound from transfer case

Good day, again new thread!
2007, H3, 90~k miles.

Noticed howling(whining?) sound when putting in neutral, very rarely in park.

Any quick suggestions than taking it apart? - that is next logical step.

Made a video:

After that I poked everywhere with Stethoscope and found out that it is coming from far end of transfer case(images stolen from Internets):

I marked location where howling is approximately coming from.

I had plastic fork changed by mechanic to aluminum few months ago, nothing else was done with transfer case(apart of fluid change of course).
Is it possible that this is fluid starving sound?

Some random numbers on my case, I need to figure out if this is the case where additional fluid needs to be added in speed sensor hole.

Forgive my sin for linking another forum:

There is a version of chain rubbing against chain guard. - that will be inspected when case will be cracked open.

Next easy step is to get fluid out and see if it looks any good, then top up and back to shop.

Yes, low/dirty fluid, yet to late for fluid change.

Ordered Dex VI, will get it next week and will change fluid before getting case to my mechanic..

Meanwhile, internet says: "ALL 2006 H3 Transfer cases require an additional 250 ml of fluid to be added via the speed sensor hole. And ANY 2007 H3 with a VIN of 56TDN13E778100102 or prior also requires the additional fluid to be added via the speed sensor hole".

As I understand, last 6 numbers are sequence, anything over "100102" is fine.
Mine is "13xxxx". and I should proceed with regular amount "1.6 qts"(1.5L).

I only use gear oil in my 2003 H2 after two tcase oil changes and finding quite a bit of metal shavings in the oil. (probably the aluminum case_after my buddies H2 tcase exploded, I switched to gear oil. at 260 K now with no issues. I change it every 30K and most of the time the oil comes out almost like new.

Cracked cased open, main input shaft bore trough sleeve that holds gears.
Rock auto has input shaft repair sleeve.
But, I can't find any place that sells input shaft, either I can't find it or there is none any more except full transfer cases.

Any tips where I can get just input shaft?

Other option is to get to buy used questionable quality transfer case and hope it is fine (Eastern europe).

Thanks and have a nice day.

The damage occurs to the sleeve, why do you need to replace the shaft?

Shaft has scratches and abrasion damage also, would just putting new sleeve on be sufficient even if shaft is damaged?

Found shaft number,
Normal: 2.64:1 Ratio Low Range, NR4, input shaft - 89059536
For a sleeve there, looks like item "19168733" is similar, could not find in diagram sleeve for input shaft.

This site shows a price and pretends it is in stock.
