I have a 2006 H3 that I haven’t driven in 1 month. I live in the northeast and it has been cold. I finally went to drive it, and when I move the gear shifter, I noticed it moves VERY easily, but won’t engage into Neutral or park. It was working just fine when I last drove it a month ago. Is something frozen? Or did something break while just sitting in my driveway??

 

look at the transmission gear selector lever on the side of the transmission and check to see if the plastic bushing to the shift cable is still there and attatched to the lever. if it is then need to check the other end inside connected to the shifter itself.
