Default Help!! Get this chrome off my H3.

Hey guys I'm trying to get rid of the chrome that is on my new to me hummer. There is a chrome insert stuck onto the fuel tank filler housing and the cap. I have tried to pull it off to the of almost breaking and afraid I'm seriously going to mess something up. Any help or ideas would be helpful!

Make friends with these products. I hide lots of chrome with them.

Painting it is an option, but I'd find a way to remove it then install a locking fuel door.

Remove the entire bucket. Then use a long thin blade or knife to cut the adhesive tape. If you break it Just buy a new filler bucket. $35
