Next step is to verify your actual oil pressure. You can do this yourself with an adapter, or ask a shop. It is an adapter you install in place of an oil filter. It has a port to attach a gauge.
Minimum oil pressure is listed as 12 psi at 1200 rpm. Not sure what that is at idle.
I had a similar issue, except my pressure was good and a replaced sensor fixed my problem. Perhaps there is something else in the pressure sensor system causing your issues, or it is an oil system issue. From what I've found, the oil pump is a bugger to get at, and really necessitates the removal of the engine, though I could be mistaken.
