What is this part called? And where can I find one my front end took a turn for the worse last week snapped the cv axle I replaced it and it’s still making a clinking noise it’s not the def it’s coming from this!

 

broke the intermediate shaft possibly.
I never broke a half shaft but destroyed 3 intermediate shafts.
GM # 12479254 #21 in the diagram below.

 

Hi there, just wondering what was the outcome of producing a new intermediate front shaft for the H3. I broke mine last Saturday and can’t find one anywhere. Mine shattered into pieces so, I was wondering if someone has one that the length can be measured so I can make a new one unless there are some available.
