Heat guage fluctuates

Heat guage fluctuates

06 h3 temp guage fluctuates. Never did before. Always was at the level a tick above the quarter mark. Now it goes from the quarter mark to half way. Constantly changing. Never overheats. Any suggestions on what it may be. Where should the guage be at. Thanks for any help.

That’s the thermostat opening and closing. I moved thermostat to top hose to stop that.

Maybe your our thermostat is getting weak.

Either your coolant sensor is on the way to its grave, or your T Stat is ready to be replaced.

Easy stuff first. Make sure the wiring to the temp sensor is correctly connected, no rubbing or fraying.
