Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Redneck auto body repair; cover the damage with duct tape or a decal
While My 3 is disabled inside the garage I decided to work on the bubbling paint/rust on the drivers side rear door.
Removed 3 screws inside then pulled to release the push pin retainer clips to remove the flare.
Used my new toy needle scaler to remove all the loose rust then wire brushed & sanded.
Brushed the inside of the door with the same rustoleum hammered I'm using on the frame.
Spread a thin layer of bondo on the outside over the cleaned pitted metal then sanded & painted where the flare don't cover.
I used the paint I had on hand from a previous project which matches close in color, however a noticeable difference in sheen: BEHR PREMIUM 11 oz. #SP-204 Nickel Satin Interior/Exterior Metallic Spray Paint Aerosol
Searched Vine for a cover up to make the repair/paint less noticeable and got free matching decals.
I stopped the rust which works for me.
HUMMERZ- I'm glad that I live in FLORIDA- My 2007 H3 has zero rust

Not hardly, many are just crap with bright domed chips that splash all over the reflector instead of hitting the reflector's spots that the original bulbs did. That is why no LED bulbs are DOT approved as replacements for OEM Halogen headlights.
I agree that a quality set, properly designed as a replacement for the specific vehicle's reflector, work perfectly after aiming.
Here's some pics at Nautical Twilight here outside my garage -front- rear- inside. Light(((((BEAM))))) is STRAIGHTFORWARD.
