Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
I just rebuilt my engine on 2007 hummer h3
no oil leaks , no combustion leaks and no coolant leaking to oil or oil leaking to coolant but I have very very tiny minor coolant leak to external mean the it leaks outside not inside like drips where the head meets the block. I installed a new gasket and sprayed it with copper and resurfaced the cylinder head too before installing but maybe I didn’t spray enough cooper or the actual block maybe have a scratch that leading to outside . Now my question is since the leak is outside and very minor. I’ll try to retorque the head and maybe rice it an extra quart turn to make sure it’s tight but if it still leaks can I use one of those bars head gasket leak stop since it’s small and not leaking inside?
it yes which one you recommend for this ? There are so many options
Easy stuff first. Check the TQ on all the bolts again. Might have to pull it back off, clean the surfaces, use a coating of high temp RTV with a new gasket.

That’s the one thing doc I don’t want to take off the head again lol it’s a pain in the *** I can take the valve cover and retorque if that didn’t fix it I’ll do that bar gasket leak to close that tiny spot, the gasket is already have high temperature sealant and on top of that I sprayed it with copper spray but maybe there it a little scratch that it leaking outside from the head block or I didn’t spray copper that area for some reason it’s either one of the 2 but I really don’t want to take the head and reapply and all that crap again. Can I use that bars sealant if the retorque didn’t work? It’s nothing serious it’s just leaking a little outside everything inside is perfect
Check the oil after a few miles and then tell us the coolant is not leaking inside before you make that assumption.
I did I drove the hummer 500 miles so far and no leak. I checked oil and it’s the same . Also the oil still oily no milky looking so no coolant leaking there. I also did a combustion leak test that you plug into the radiator and see if the liquid changed color and it came negative
