Hey,

I'm looking for some winter/off road tires too. Do you guys ever run into trouble running M/Ts in the winter? I'm probably going to get these Nokian Vatiiva M/Ts...

http://www.kaltire.com/retail/tires/...amp;cat=LT/SUV

I'm going to stick to the stock size though 265/75/r16 for the stock 16 inch rims I picked up (gotta keep the chrome 18's in the garage for the winter). Any thoughts?

I've got 40K+ miles on my Toyos and they still have plenty of tread left. The KM2's are great tires for offroad and pretty well-mannered onroad, but not the best in wet conditions since they aren't siped.

I am in the same spot as you Bo. I need to replace the tires on my truck and will stay with the stock 285/75 16 size. I have looked at cooper stt and mickey thompson mtz. I am leaning toward the mickeys even though cooper probably makes them. I have found a price of $950.44 shipped for a set of 5. Is this a good price?? Also the company is performanceproducts4trucks.com. Has anyonedone buisness with them?? good/bad?? One other thing with the mickeys is there is a $100 rebate through mickey thompson which would bring the price to $850.44. I am also concerned with the noise these may make or maybe I am overthinking this. My current tires bridgestone duelers are chopping real bad at 30k and are howing pretty good. I didn't want to start a seperate tire thread and appreciate letting me chime in. Steve

Thanks Sewie for your post. I have another question. Do I have to do somelift or some modification for the Toyo 315/75/16? I think I will go for them, I want good tires for off-road.

Hello Everyone-
New member here, but long time reader on the Forum.

I went out and bought a set of the GoodYear Fortera Silent Armor P265/75R-16 114T For my H3 and talk about a quiet drive in the country. Its almost annoying how quiet of a ride it is for me now. The 1st test was driving from Va to Ohio the day they were installed and it felt like i was floating on the PA turnpike and I almost feel asleep due to the quiet drive. In the rain they are great, but I dont drive in the snow, and I havent taken the H3 off road,so I'm sorry I cant rate them on that. After 20k miles on them, they still have plenty of tread on them. I will most def. buy again.

You should also check out the Firestone Destination MT's. Got some ($190) per tire for 285/75/16 and I love them. Not loud at all and GREAT off-road! Also pre-drilled for studs for ice/snow.
