H3 Performance Intake Systems
It's installed.... not that you will see pictures of it... or need to....
I don't know what everyone was talking about with the snorkel part... I had zero issues with that... maybe Trey's was different?
I made the install a little easier by applying a very, very light coat of silicon paste on before I made the connections... makes aligning everything up even easier.
I found humor in the take beer break handwritten part of the instructions....
I didn't test drive it... but it seemed to shift quicker... perhaps that was because we were going faster quicker... I dunno...I wasn't driving... sounded throatier....
Like others have said... it seemed to make the engine idle smoother...perhaps a significant throttle response also...
I have nothing I would like to see changed on the product... I think it was well thought out...
Start to finish was about 25 minutes... instructions really are not needed...
Two things made me wonder....
Why not use the square hole from the stock snorkle instead of drilling?
Second thing was.... When you take the 10mm bolts out of the intake it said to retain them... and I was trying to figure out why I needed them other than if Trey wants to trade it in the next time he scratches it..... then I saw the part about that later on....
I give you an "A" Doc.... Well done.

Well the drive home was eventfull, every chance I got I had to press the pedal down just to hear it. It sounds a little bit 'throatier".
I offered Muddy to drive it but he declined, I'm not sure how much different I'll see the mpg until after I stop lead-footing it.
Installion went off without a hitch.

Thanks guys. I did the drill thing just because I thought it was easy. I actually was going to use the square hole from the snorkel tabs but I though drilling a little hole at the top was easier for some??
Yes MuddyD, a little silicone spray, even armor all etc..will make the hoses move easier to get everything lined up with less effort. Good tip.
I will be boxing some up in a couple days and start shipping again. I have a charity banquet I am on the committe with this week so nothing will be going out thursday, but there is always wednesday and friday.

I have a tip for installing hoses that is even better IMO...I( use it on front mount intercoolers), instead of using silicone spray use HAIR SPRAY
Your working time is reduced but when wet its slick and once its dry, its not moving!
damn it...sorry Doc, I don't want to start ANOTHER how-to here
Great product, cant wait for the ALPHA one!

Tips are way cool.
I've heard a lot of trick/tips, but hair spray?? It does make sense, but I have never used hairspray on me or anything.....yet.
I do have a wife and teenage daughter, so I know where to get some.
I will try it on aninstall to see for myself, very interesting.

its an old trick I learned from replacing grips on bikes (of all things), trust me...you won't use silicone on tubes after using my method!Let me know what you think.
