I got my hands on the airdoc intake and to say the least I was very impressed. I will be installing this on Trey's H3 Saturday and I expect night and day differences.

Trey handed me this thing Sunday and I did a double take. It's not flimsy, it's not cheap. Everything about it screams overkill...

Paint is very nice. Welds are perfect. Included items are extensive.

Well done Doc. I can't wait to install it.

OK guys, I've had this thing installed since 02/26/2008 for roughly 1100 miles.

Everything is still in place, no vibrations, no issues to report.

Now that the PCM has self-calibrated (or what-ever-the-hell-you-want-to-call-it),
everything is smooth as glass. It feels pretty dang close to the stock H3 loaner I
drover earlier today in quickness and pickup. Now keep in mind, that is saying a lot
considering mine is encumbered with all manner of after-market stuff -- tires, wheels and SMA guard, etc.

While the power increases are quite discernible, improved MPG's...Well.....not so much.

I'll let the numbers speak for themselves:

Miles Gallons Average Actual Miles to Date

277.20 20.32 13.00 13.64 879
311.40 20.83 14.00 14.94 1960
243.00 18.48 13.00 13.14 2203
301.40 20.83 14.00 14.46 2505
245.00 19.01 12.00 12.88 2780
254.00 18.25 13.00 13.91 3034
291.00 20.34 14.00 14.30 3324
201.30&n

I understand the 13 after the install... Lead foot.... but the pattern to me seems to be up 1/4 - 1 mpg....

Oh, it is up a small bit and I appreciate the hell out of it. I was just trying to illustrate that
with my tires, wheels, etc.......17 to 20 mpg does not appear to be an attainable goal for me.
Just trying to show the opposite end of the spectrum from HummerGuy.

I suspect everyone else will fall somewhere in the middle.

The majority of my driving is 80%Highway at speeds averaging 70 mph. That last tank.....that busted the
15 MPG mark, was made up of several long jaunts that I purposely kept around 65 MPH.

Doc: I owe you these pics. Sorry it took so long.

Note: Yes, I know I need to clean my engine. I'm ashamed to be honest. [&o]

Thanks guys. I rolled in at home last night and saw your comments, but was too tired to post. Made up a pile of AirDocIntakes. Prep., prime and paint are next. Closely followed by another batch...........or two?

Gunner, I give you credit for the meticulous monitoring of fuel consumption, even with those meaty boots and I am glad you are enjoying the mod.

HG, you and I, like many more in the northern ststes will be rid of the salty road slime gerdoo that cruds up our trucks in the next 2-3 weeks................then let the spring cleaning begin!!! Name: 3_10_5.gif

I'm always amazed that you fellow '06 owners get 14 MPGs average. Do you guys have bigger tires, floor it every time? Hell, even when I floor it alot, I still get at least 15 to 16. I average between 16 to 18 all the time, BUT that may be because I have a stick, who knows.

Gunner, did you ever get the PCM upgrade? I don't remember.

Monday, shortly after I announces a sell out and back order, (I still get orders) a guy emailed me one of the funniest notes I have ever got. I do not recognize himfrom the forum membership......and I asked him to post it here. He didn't, so I wont, but part of his message said something like: I suppose now your gonna hit up all the next group of buyers with a price hike?

Not at all, the introductory offer price remains in effect through April 10, 2008, and while I'm catching up, you do not need to order to keep that price and wait for me. I will let everybody know when shipping is available again.Even after April 10, if you email me and tell me you are a Hummer Forums member, you'll still get that price for the H3 2006/07 kit!

My underlying motivation was to help us all better enjoy our H3s, and it still is. Thanks again.
