I have too, but honestly I'm getting lazy and am tired of cleaning and oiling them. If they have something that is dry and actually better, I'd prefer that instead.

I apologize for sending this thread astray. The discussion should have taken place in another thread.

Doesn't pay as well as chopper parts, but it is just as fun. Beats the heck out of machine guarding and control panels.

You're on the list. Thanks.

I still don't have any REAL numbers due to not having my scangauge yet. But I have always had K&N or Airaid in my vehicles and my combination of the Airaid and AirDoc Intake is great! I have gained an average of 2-3 MPG's on my 07 H3 with it. I was already running the Airaid alone before adding the AirDoc and that's the increase after the intake itself was added.

As promised, if and when I ever get my scangauge hooked up I will post some real numbers for you.

I will tell you though, DO NOT skip the step of adding the little screw into the snorkel tube (provided with intake). I did and the snorkel came off and was just laying there in the fender opening, not connected to the air box. Believe it or not the MPG difference is what prompted me to look at it. It was a noticeable difference with the snorkel not connected. Not the products fault, mine for skipping the step.

*OH, just FYI. I fixed the snorkel as soon as I got home from work 24 miles HWY at 70 MPH. I popped the hood and grabbed ahold of the intake tube to loosen it. It was slightly warm to the touch, not bad, didn't "burn" or anything. Thought that was pretty good considering I was keeping warm off of the motor *

I am VERY please with Doc's product and would recommend it to everyone.

I really do not like talking about mpg change. It depends on too many variables, and is heavily influenced by individual driving habits. Some of the asssessment is a common effect. If you get an intake, likely you'll stick your foot in it a time or few having some fun , mileage suffers that tank of gas. Then you kinda...get over it, and you notice an improvement? Some then drive carefully and can get better mileage, most of which is just because they are being conservative, not directlybecause ofany intake itself.

What I "think" is happeneing is you might be able to round your mileage figures up, theoretically, to the nearest full #? For example, if you've been getting say 16.3 mpg , you might be able to measure an improvement up toward or approximating say almost 17mpg. That's as good as I can tell, but others have said better.

AirDocIntakes doesnot even attempt to suggest anyone will see any improvement in MPG with an AirDocIntake, but you caneasily enjoy improved performance without any mileage reduction.

I haven't changed anything about the way I drive, fast and angry I gun it from the light and I usually go 70-80 on the HWY. I swear to you the MPG got better. Maybe it was your intake, maybe it was a combo of the intake / exhaust mod I did. IDK. Don't get me wrong, I'm not getting 30 MPG's or anything but I'm definitely getting better mileage than before.

Either way, great product!

I PMed you Gunny.

Another person also asked if I will do different colors?

At this point, not entirely sure, but I was gonna do a batch of hammered silver just for giggles and see what people think. It is too time consuming to paint one at a time per request, but you can always paint what I sell whatever color you want, I know one buyer has already done that. I cannot too strongly urge that you let the paint dry completely before installing. AirDocIntakes are primed, painted, and then dried in a heated low humidity "dry room" for 5 days before selling. I know it is overkill, but that is the way I do it. I really like paint to set up completely for no problems down the road.
