H3 Multiple shorts
Hi, Im hoping someone can help, id be eternally grateful for any advice on troubleshooting from anyone familiar with the H3 electronics. I have two H3s with the same issue both were flooded. I bought them for parts but both were easy to get back running and road worthy, they are in too good of shape to part out.
I have multiple shorts showing at the fuse box on almost all the same circuits. Im hoping that there is one common area that would short or may be bleeding back into the other circuits. The issues haven't stopped me from operating the vehicles just electronic annoyances. I have an ECT3000 short tracer but I have to admit im not at all a mechanic, im a parts changer at best. So im not experienced enough to know if im missing something really obvious.
Some details on the vehicles and circuits effected. I have an 08 Alpha with 30k that was saltwater flooded up to the bottom of the cluster and up to the fusebox. And a 2010 3.7l with about 120k that was freshwater flooded... completely. I replaced the battery cables(mil grade) BCM (soldered in the original EEPROM), Airbag modules, TCCM, stalk, lighting cntrl and fusebox. on the 2010 I replaced the cluster as well. Ive replaced some other items im sure im forgetting.
To diagnose the shorts, first thing I did was hook up to the trailer brake lights and was showing a short. I pulled every fuse and relay in the box and the short stayed present. If I hook up to the fusebox and trace the shorts they terminate at the bulb, if I pull the bulb the short goes away.
If I go through the fuse box on the small fuses I show. 17, 21, 22, 23, 27,28,29,30, 33,34,35,36, 37, 42 43, 49,52,53,55,58,59 on both vehicles.
Ive pulled all the wiring harness connections loose including the BCM and I get mixed results but still have a lot of shorts present at the fuse box. Im guessing the issue would be upstream of the harnesses? Does anyone know of a component or node that would be below the cluster that would cause the same shorts in both? Or is this a case of something bleeding back into the harness?
Sorry for not being concise, I just wanted to be as detailed as possible.
Thanks for any help or advice.

Thanks, I'll crack them open and see what they look like
