Default H3 Leveling kit on Stock wheels/tires?

I love the look and stance of a simple leveling kit on the Hummer H3. What are good brand leveling kits? Ive been looking at Rough Country, but I am a newbie when it comes to this stuff.. Also, for the time being, I will be keeping my stock tires and wheels on the Hummer, which I believe are 28" all terrain, 275/75/-16...i think. Will a leveling kit with the stock wheel and tires still look good or will it just be funky and make my Hummer tires look tiny?
I am a newbie at the offroading game, but any advice would be incredible!

You can level your h3 without buying a leveling kit. Do a search on here and you will find it.

I second that.... Plenty of folks will tell you that leveling kits aren't needed. It's a really simple process... Just heed the warnings about going too high... 23.5 from the center of the wheel to the lip of the fender seems to be the magic number....

Yep, it's free. Except for the alignment you will need after you adjust the torsion bars.

Yup, crank the torsion bars
Add longer shocks
Get an alignment

Abuse tall, skinny pedal as needed.

Stock H3 tires were either 265s = 32" or 285s = 33". If you had 28s your truck would look funny regardless of leveling.

Agree with the above. The hardest part was finding the torsion bolts, which wasn't very hard at all.....right between and below the front and rear door seam. Numerous ideas on this forum and many youtube videos. Good luck and try the 285's. Came stock on the Alpha's and I believe the adventure package???? and there is PLENTY of room. New to Hummers myself, but there is a treasure trove of info on here provided by dedicated Hummer owners.

Actually, the 285s were only on the adventure/offroad packages. the Alpha's just got the 265s unless it was paired with the previous packages

My 2008 Alpha came with 285's standard. I am not sure, but from what I have read, the Alpha had a combo adventure/luxury package..... Mine did anyway and also has the recommended tire size on the door frame listed as 285/75/16. New to Hummers and still Learning.

skeeter is all over this one. 285s only came on the Adventure(I5) or the OffRoad(V8) packages. Base and Lux would still have the 265s regardless of the engine size. Add an Adventure or OffRoad package to the Base or Lux and you would have 285s.

I hope that didn't make it more confusing.
