H3 Cabin Air Filter
Does the H3 have one? I know some of the other cars I have had had an air filter in the dash that was replacable.

RE: H3 Cabin Air Filter
Ha yeah sure, driving around with a Teddy Bear in my windshield. It would block my LAPTOP ;-)
I'm talkin about a air filter that is integrated into the blower for the heat and AC. Alot of cars have them. I really wish the H3 had it, but I guess it doesn't. Oh well. |
RE: H3 Cabin Air Filter
I know a lot of the Euro cars have the the cabin filters, mine included, the Jag and th now gone Land Rover...Never seen one in an Asian car either..are there ANY American cars that do?
|
RE: H3 Cabin Air Filter
My Corolla has one, and my Freightliner has one too, but the FreightShaker is made by Diamlyer Benz, so maybe it falls under the Euro vehicle catagory.
|
RE: H3 Cabin Air Filter
My Scion xB had one, and so did my '03 VW Beetle Turbo. My Rodeo MAY have had one, but not sure.
Completely off-topic Linus: My wife thinks a typical oil-tanker trailor can hold $1,000,000 (yes, a million) dollars worth of gas. How much gas in dollars is one trailor of gasoline worth? |
RE: H3 Cabin Air Filter
I had one on my 02 Silverado, but haven't owned the H3 long enough to check.

RE: H3 Cabin Air Filter
my h3 has 4 of em...there called windows!
|
RE: H3 Cabin Air Filter
My Subaru has a cabin filter and the my Z06 out runs dust. Seems like an off road vehicle would need a cabin filter more than an on road vehicle.
|
RE: H3 Cabin Air Filter
I can tell a difference with the dust accumulation on the dash and stuff in the H3, compared to the JAG and Land Rover which have/had the Pollen filter..I just keep a painter's tack cloth in the cubby for the little touch ups.:D

I need a Cabin Air Filter compartment installed is it possible?

HOLY COW, BATMAN. 13.25 year old thread.
WE HAVE A WINNER! I'm sure it's possible, but I haven't ever heard of anyone doing it to an H3. H2, yes, not the H3/H3T. |

Short of wrapping the entire H3 in foam/cloth filter element...... no. Stick a Swiffer in the vents. |

Ha, ha, ha, ha, well I can't put a covering over my face, I may scare the heck out of my customers, when they get in the vehicle they may say, "what in the world do she have?!" I use my truck to drive for Uber now...
So people unknown to you get into your vehicle with god knows what they are emitting from their clothes, hair, bags, breath, etc into your vehicle. Might I suggest finding a different line of work if you have "breathing problems". |

HUH? You have "breathing problems", yet you drive for Uber?

Thanks for your suggestion because I was actually thinking I may not be able to drive for Uber in my truck anymore. |
Maybe there is something (mold or whatever) in the air ducts? If you had no issues before it seems unlikely that a filter is the answer. I think there are some disinfectant/deodorizer products that you can spray down in there, maybe try something like that?

OMG! Thank you sooooooo much. I had already tried a rather costly spray someone suggested and I thought nothing else was out here to help. I kept telling my family and friends I needed some that STAYED in the truck that cleans the air and we couldn't find ANYTHING OUT HERE. I've been getting really sick, coughing and wheezing. I thought my driving for Uber was going to be over! I KNOW this is what I need! I love you and don't even know you!
Cabin filter only filters the outside air entering the cabin. Sprays are used as a temp masking the odor. Use an air purifier, and recirculation button: https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hum...de599c434e.jpg |
Wearing your significant others panties over your head helps clear the air...
Seriously no... |
