Default H3 with blown engine

hi peeps, i have a 2006 h3 and with out warning it threw a rod this weekend. Estimate for a new Jasper motor installed is 9000. Wondering what i might be able to get for it as it sits.
2006 H3 Adventure package with manual transmission, 93,000 miles, besides the blown motor it is in excellent shape. I am the original owner and live in Colorado Springs
Any idea what i might be able to get for it?

atv, post says it has Adv/manual tranny. The truck with a motor would probably bring 9-12K. Without is anyone's guess. Condition of the rest of the truck will play a part. Some might be interested in the carcass as a project to drop a V8 in, do a solid axle conversion, etc but they will be looking for a cheap price. The better question is what would you sell it for? A lot of us would have an interest at the right price point.

Yes on the Adventure package, factory/dealer installed brush guard and running boards. Pictures to follow when i can get over to it.
My first thought was $5000 but just trying to get a feel from you guys what it would be a fair price.

$4500 - $5000 sounds fair to both buyers and seller.

Thanks Tainter, at least I am in the ballpark.
After doing some research I find it not at all uncommon for this to happen to the engine. Just took me totally by surprise!

Being a newbie, is there a correct way to advertise on the forum?

There is a For Sale classified section that is where you should post it up. I would say Tainter is in the ballpark...4-5,000.00 if the body and interior are in good shape. Being in CO it is a better deal for someone close to you since it doesn't run and will have to be trailer/shipped.

Running boards? Did you mean Nerf bars? Worthless on an H3 for anybody who wheels them.

Good luck.
