Ok, so I am installing an amplifier and sub in my h3 without monsoon and have everything hooked up and ready to go except for the remote wire for the amp. I have looked at all the wire diagram threads and it tells me nothing. The radio doesn't have an amp turn on wire like the monsoon does so I am at a loss on which wire or "color" to splice into to get my amp to turn on. 08 h3

OFTEN THE power lead to the radio is red
the power is turned off when u turn key off and open door

u could use the red lead to turn amp on

it will always be on with the key but who cares
the radio is always on anyway

 

You could use a Bussmann fuse tap which is usually less than $10 at autostores but I'm not sure if it will fit into the H3 fuse box. You'll just have to use a multimeter or test light to see what turns off with key.

I went to a place because the radio is kicking in and out and they told me was the radio amplifier. My H3 don't have the subwoofer and the dealer say my truck don't show to have it. Can you advise if the H3 base has it or not, and where is located?
