H3 3.7 Engine Problems
Hi Guys and Gals,
I am the original owner of my H3 and recently it has started to have problems besides the ususal stuff. Problem: When it starts it idles rough and sometimes dies. If you give it some gas to increase RPM's then it seems to run normal and with no problems. It's not really throwing any codes either which is the confusing part, but it's like somehow flow is restricted and thus it only runs normally if you give it gas. Any tips as to where to start? Up to now we have gone after the obvious throttle body cleaning, air filter, idle solenoid, etc.
Thanks in advance for any help or tips on where to start.

What are the chances that this problem could be a head gasket failure? It did not overheat or anything and the problem more or less started overnight. After testing a bit yesterday there was oil in the coolant reservoir for the first time. The H3 has been sitting for a few months as I planned on selling it and have another vehicle.(there was no coolant in the oil when it was changed when parked)

You looked at your 'coolant reservoir' ---But did you look at your oil dipstick , what color the oil?

[QUOTE=ski.dive;383458]The oil on the dipstick looks normal,no signs of it being a milkshake.

Read this thread and perform all the steps, then look for something else if needed. Acts like it wants to stall/rough idle -No CEL -What To Do:
