Gpcalero's Spartan Build

Finally got around to making a build thread, school and work take up most of my time.

So begins the build:

Fall 2009 pic, just got home from the dealership... picked up the '09 H3 along with a '09 H2

Took me a couple years before I got into wanting to start the mods!

Back to the college house, next to my roommate's Dodge 1500, right now she's doesn't have the torsion keys cranked yet, on stock 265/65/18's.
Earlier we made an offer on 295/70/18's, not sure if they'll fit yet, anyone know for sure?

More soon...

First thing was my fraternity letters

Next was the factory horn. It sounded like a girly piece of junk, so it was time to get rid of it. I also took off the dealership front plate due to it getting all bent up from water crossings.

So I took off the single factory horn and installed dual Wolo's, one high and one low tone. I liked that they were chrome...at first.

While I was at it, we also cranked the T-Bars up to 23.4 and called it a day, lulz.

Still looking at those 295/70/18's, anybody know if they'll fit?

More to come...

So then we headed to Pompano with the pledges, I mean the guys lol

Time to get Lil' Sparta's exhaust installed, so we met up with the guys over at Superior Automotive Design. They're very professional and I would recommend them to anyone in the area. It sounds great, I'm loving it so far.

Special Thanks to Kris Lim at Superior Automotive Design for hooking me up with the exhaust system!
Kris has an H3 of his own and he's very open, we talked about our rigs for probably around an hour. Here's a couple pics of his rig, it's pretty sweet.

Maybe someday Lil Sparta will look as good!

Next project is getting rid of all of the factory chrome ! Have matte black nerf-bars, Plasti-dip and smoked LED taillights on the way!

Next mod was really a swap. Picked up some factory black nerf bars from a guy who hardly used them on his H3.

Heading home to put these bad boys on!

I think I like the look better without the nerf bars...

I only wheel a couple times a week and nothing too serious is here in Florida anyways so I decided to keep them on. The chrome is coming off little by little lol.

I also never mentioned that I installed the Daystar Dash kit. I can upload pictures later (I don't have any now). It's pretty useful and matches the color and texture of the factory dash plastic.

WOoooo. Love getting goodies in the mail! Feels like Christmas! Bought a Plasti-Dip kit from Dipyourcar.com that includes 4-5 gallons of Plasti-Dip and a sprayer made by Wagner. Using the sprayer will allow you to apply thinner and more even coats of Plasti-Dip on the surface. It's really great stuff. The kit also came with 3M tape, paint thinner (to mix in order to spray out of the gun), filters, dip sticks, and even a microfiber wash cloth to wash the plasti-dipped parts of your car (I don't even bother with it though).

More goodies!
The LED taillights came in the same day. Got em off of eBay, they're smoked (tinted) LED that are plug and play. Only the brake lights are LED, the reverse lights just use the stock fittings and bulb from the factory taillights.

Install on next post...tomorrow lol

Anybody have any next mod recommendations?

More to come...
