Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Has anyone had to replace the front impact sensors on there H3. I have a code for the passenger side. I found some NOS ones on ebay, bought them turns out they are not the same part number as mine on the truck. The guides on the plug are in a different spot. My question is can I just get the pigtail that goes with the sensors I bought and use them or do I have to buy the same part number sensors? They look identical and are for some hummer h3 according the ebay. The add did say 06-10 h3 sensors. Any help would be appreciated.
I personally would be weary of splicing in a new connector and using them. If you could share the year and motor of your H3, I can pull up the wiring diagram for you.

Thanks, the issue is my 2007 H3X 3.7 front impact sensors are no longer available part number 10383628 I have found ones for a 2008-2010 i believe but the slots on the plug are in opposite sides of mine. The plug is the same two wire for both sensors. The guide or whatever those tabs that guide it in are what is different.
When I look up 15254201 it shows that it is only for the 2006 model.
The connectors look the same though. Here are the connector views for 2006 and 2007. It may work, but I was able to find quite a few available units on ebay with the proper part number.
Thanks for the update. I found them on ebay too. I am worried that they are all used and almost 20 years old. I have purchased one off of ebay to make do. But the other one is brand new so I figured they should last about 20 years or so. I am not sure what everyone else does if there sensors go out but this may be a problem in the near future.
I have better stuff to worry about than 16-50+ year old auto parts. I have a bunch of that......
If they work, then don't fix them.
I too have other stuff to worry about, but I dont need an airbag going off in my face causing an accident, killing me, my passengers or someone else because of a bad sensor that is no longer available. That is something to worry about!
