Yes you will have a vibration. It's a in-line 5 cylinder, not as balanced as a 6, or 8 due to their V-shape

Thanks for the responses, that was my thought, that it is a 5 cylinder and at idle that is the nature of the beast.........

Car was apparently a lease vehicle, still smells new...................

Mine does it a bit. It is better since I cleaned the throttle body and dropped in a K&N flat air filter element. I posted some pics of how dirty my TB was after only 25000 - 30000 miles. On a full tank of gas, I hardly notice the vibration...liquid dampener.

not as balanced as a 6, or 8 due to their V-shape
1949 buick straight 8 felt like an electric clock motor, its design.
a 90 degree v6 is impossible to balance.

actually the i5 has 2 counter balance shafts to help.
they all need help!

I realize this is an old thread but it's what I'm experiencing.at idle the vibration is bad enough that the tranny dipstick is a blur shaking back and forth. No misfire felt at exhaust. I have noticed if I turn on the A/C compressor it changes the idle and it smoothes out.

engine has 241,000 miles but runs great.

shouldnt bring up old threads. Start with removing and cleaning the TB “Throttle Body” see if that helps. They get gunked up and can cause the engine to run rough.
