Engine Numbers load very high
Hello All,
I have joined this forum with the hope someone can point me in the right direction. My 2006 H3 shows high engine load on my Autel OB2 reader all the time. I recently replaced the transmission and the dude at the shop noted this odd engine load number when we were testing and programing the new trans. He stated that the engine load being where it is causes the transmission to go into high pressure mode which wears things out prematurely. (it thinks the truck is towing or under heavy load all the time) I researched know issues that can cause the high engine load numbers- at idle the truck shows 25 to 30 percent load and if I acuate the throttle even slightly it pjns at 100 % all the time. I have changed the MAP sensor for a new AC Delco one. No change on the engine load stats. I then researched more issues that could cause this. There was a lot of talk about the cats being plugged. I checked my front cat and it was indeed very dirty (I checked it with an endoscope) so I bit the bullet and ordered a new exhaust header and front cat. While waiting I removed the back cat and inspected it with my endoscope tool. It was slightly dirty, so I removed that section of the exhaust and cleaned the back cat with a healthy dose of toluene. This really cleaned the back cat up and after the treatment the endoscope showed a really nice clean cat. After installing the new manifold and front cat, the truck runs really smooth now (it had always idled a little rough), but the engine load still shows the same numbers. I was wondering if anyone has any idea of what i can do to solve this issue. Thanks and I look forward to any suggestions.

Well, let's start with the basics.
1) os2 sensors
2) MAF
3) throttle body
What's your trim numbers or values on each os2?
Last time you cleaned MAF, TB?
Did you or are you monkeying with programming of the ECU?
