Driving the dunes...potential meet and mods
Well, just got back from Silver Lake Michigan and all I have to say is AWESOME!!! Thanks to all of the feedback we only bogged down on the first dune we climbed and backed out of it easily. Spent the day climbing dune after dune and in the water holes of course (pretty dried up, but still fun) and at the beach.
Surprisingly, we were the only Hummer there all day. Does anyone know if there is a meet for Hummers lined up? I saw a video on youtube of a Hummer meet in Michigan in the winter months and it looked like a blast.
Also, any suggestions for mods for dune climbing?

Performance mods: intake, PCMforless tune and Efan conversion, PP TB, CAT back exhaust. As you have now seen, Dunes are heavy throttle.
The PCM tune keeps the trans in the best gear position and raises the kick down speed, big difference when you mash the pedal climbing a Dune.
You don't need any of the off road mods like UBP or rock rails... etc, but other than extra weight, they don't hurt at the dunes.
