Drip front axel 2006 h3
Yep, it is wet. Looks like driver side? The drips do not come from the half shaft, they come from the front Diff ... or through the Axle Shaft Tube Differential Housing Support on the driver side like yours. You might need a front Axle Shaft Seal. The ACDelco version is getting hard to find and is discontinued, but others make them. Like $22 +/- When was the last time the front diff fluid was changed?
I would start with easy stuff, remove your clamps, they are doing nothing except effecting balance of the half shaft. On a level surface check the front diff fluid level. Biggest cause of diff leaks is............ OVER FILLING. You could even add some stop leak if the level is low to see if that buys you some time before doing a replacement seal.

Hey Doc Olds and bronxteck.
Thanks for those excellent tips... I did change the front dif recently. Which may account to overfill and dripping. The clamps are coming off today.
The AT-205 looks interesting. Easier than pulling it off and possibly mess it worse. After 20 years and 115k on the OD a little dripping on the garage floor is not a biggie.
