Because the mechanic has failed to find thr problem. Fixing a Hummer is not easy and one cannot just take the generic approach. That's why I'm on here. I think I've got my answer from Hummerz. Thanks for the advice.

Say what????? I have never taken any vehicle I have owned for the last 20-25 years to a repair shop or the dealer, I fix it all myself, the first time. H3s are super easy to work on, like a big toy, easy to get to nearly everything and like any other GM truck 99% of the time. Ain't no rocket science.

Have a good day Olds. Hummerz actually gave me what I need. Congratulations on your mechanical abilities.

This forum is for DIY/FREE advice! You can't advise your mechanic how to diagnose in turn get charged for the proper diagnosis.... ... there's a cost to learn and earn!

Actually I can. When you take your vehicle to two different mechanics and they both have no idea how to fix it, then that's why I come here. Maybe I can get some info from others who had the same issue. Which I have. There is no rule that states I have to do this work myself. Secondly, in regards to Olds comments, yes the Hummer is very easy to work on. However, many mechanics still, at least in my area, haven't worked on a Hummer and have taken the generic approach to fixing it and thus don't know how fix one properly. Every time I come here I ALWAYS have problems with you two.

Now I came here to get some advice, I've gotten it. End the stupid argument now. You've flaunted your so mechanical abilities. Good job.

Peel off the shell, and you will find nothing special about the Hummer underneath! On a side note, I had to let many techs go over the years due to their inability. Take it for what it's worth, take it to your so called mechanic, to keep throwing parts at it. It's your money, not mine!
