Does/Did your sunroof ever leak?

I did fix it. The 2 drain hoses in the back were clear and drained properly but the 2 in front had become clogged. I was able to get the drivers side cleared pretty quickly by putting a little air pressure through it then running some clorox bleach through it (dissolved the gunk). The passenger side was quite a bit tougher. I had to actually get behind the dash, pull the hose away from the firewall, drill out the narrow end (gunk had accumulated to the point nothing would drain), reattache the hose with a little silicone and place back into the firewall. Followe up with a little bleach. Have had plenty a rain and no leaks. There are pictures of how get behind the dash in previous posts which are pretty detailed.Good luck

sunroof h3 leak solution?
Let me tell you what I did. I took the poles covers off, then I,ve accesed the sunroof drain and pulled the factory tube. Pulled out the tube completly. Drilled a 5/8" hole thru the fire wall under the dash right next to where the Brakes cable runs out. Inserted the 5/8" PVC tube from the bottom up all the way to the sunroof connection and applied sillicone to it, then I connected the tube. At the bottom of the dash, next to the brakes pedal I passed the tube outside the cabin to the engine compartment where I installed a 90 degree conection extending the tube down (at the engine compartment. I have now a one piece tube 5/8" for plenty of water assuring It will only drain outside. This I did on both front sides. I know 5/8" is huge but I live in a rain forest. I never had a leak but i read parts of this before. Recently I ran water through mine to test them. I over did it with a bottle and the drains couldnt handle the flow.I had a leak in back because the drain is open on top and overflowed with the excess, "too much test water". I did open the rear panels and explored the complex path the tubing takes. If the end gets unhooked from its mounting point it will leak in the back. I cut the pinched ends slightly to assure better flow in the future.

The problem for most of us with leaks is that we are some kind of nerds if it comes to open panels on roof and other complicated things! Mostly when remount, it is very difficult to do that in a way that it is like new after demount!!! Pics are better to guide

Hey everyone, I want to thank all of you guys on here that have taken the time to write about your situation with this annoying water leak. Just want to throw in my own experience on my fix, after a week of rain and a lake inside my passenger side i decided to blew out the drains with compressed air. Unfortunately they were to clogged that they ended up disconnecting from the top and firewall side. I started to take the cowl, fender well , and part of the dash off. My main problem was the passenger side other sides were OK. Once i started to take part of the dash off i decided to try and find the connecting end on the firewall side had a hard time finding its location. if you take the plastic off the side and expose the inside of the dash there is a metal bar that helps holds the dash together. Its a tight squeeze but if you put your hand behind that and feel around you'll find the placement on the firewall where the end of the drain hose connects too. took a hose with a 90'' angle plastic end and blew it completely out with compress air until i heard it blow out without a problem. Put the drain hose back into the firewall, poured water through the top and flowed out like magic by the fender. Put everything back together and cant wait for it to rain now!! Thanks you guys for your post and hope mine comes in handy.

good job, it seems its a bigger problem than indicated in the poles, would be nice if we had pics on this job for all of the drain tubes on the h3, again thanks for the pics, i.m still working on my leaks gregosenn form dixie, will have pictures of my h3 soon.
