Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Is there a way to disable factory alarm on H3? Sometimes when I open the door the factory alarm goes off even tho there is an after market alarm system. So if anyone can tell me how to disable the factory alarm complexly would be amazing!
lol I don’t use that anymore I have an after marker security system but sometimes when I open the door the factory alarm goes off I went to 3 different shops they all found nothing wrong with the security system and couldn’t find a way to turn off the factory one so do u know how to disable the factory alarm?
The only way to arm the factory alarm is to lock the H3 with the remote. The owner's manual explains it. If you unlock (disarm) using the OEM remote, then NEVER use the remote to lock it, the factory alarm will remain deactivated.
If you have indeed unlocked it (using the remote) and then never locked with the remote, and it's still happening, then your aftermarket alarm is not playing nice with the H3's electronics (not the first time issues with aftermarket alarms have been reported).
