Default can't open rear door

Okay, go ahead and get the laughing out of the way ...

I replaced the windows regulator on the rear left door, but I forgot to clip the latch cables when I put the panel back on, and now the door handle won't unlatch the door.

Any ideas how I can get the door open or pop off the panel?

hmmm!
This is going to pose a conundrum. I'm and truly stumped. Because with the door closed you cant take the door card off. Also you cant get the interior handle removed.
I guess as a last ditch effort fold the back seat down and use a coat hanger from the inside to try to release the latch at the left door.

A thin long screw drive may help.

The door panel fits inside the jamb also there is a cover to access the cables behind the interior door handle.

Hummerz, if you are saying the panel should be removable with the door closed, well, it would be near impossible because the panel rim is covered. What is "there is a cover to access the cables behind the interior door handle"? I don't see a way to access the cables.

Maybe if you sent over a couple of those tool boxes shown in your pic ...

Yeah, Happy, I'll have to give those a try.

Both cables go to the interior door handle/lock. Interior door panel comes off after removing interior surround trim. I will NOT send my tools however you are welcome to come over to borrow them. Btw, U gotta slim jim?:

Yeah, I know how the door panel works since I just put it back on ...
No slim jim but the issue is the door latch I believe, not the lock, but maybe it is both?

It appears that the outside handle has a direct connection to the lock mechanism. Are those cables only for the inside door handle?

If your door lock actuator is in lock position you will not be able to open the door no matter which wire/rod you pull. Dose it lock and unlock with the fob or from the driver door control?
