Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
I also added the Sylvania ZEVO Super Bright WHITE LED 3157 to replace the OEM reverse bulbs.... they are brighter and draw less juice. The dual LED lights only draw 0.06A @ 12V DC and are pretty stinking bright. No need for a relay etc.... I can see them reflecting off clean vehicles in broad daylight.
hummerz, thanks for the idea on the 1.5" stud mount LEDs, I installed those in my old Crestliner Fishing/Duck Slaying Boat, one in the front of the Tiller Helm bulkhead, and the other in the front facing side of the forward seat facing the Life Jacket Locker and Anchor stash. Bright enough to see what your looking for, swap a lure or bait, but not so figgin bright that every bug on the lake comes a looking.
After I made the cut out for these lights, I see that you could cut out a bunch more and install those 6 LED cubes, but that would really major league mess with the integrity of the corner cover support inside. These Sylvanias are just right and a great bang for the buck.
So, good news, I found these sweet little double LED lights to use for the H3....... all by myself, no help or suggestions from any of you guys, thanks a lot..
They come with a decent pre-wired tail, I just added a Weather Pack 2 pin connector to it.
Made a template w/ cardboard, taped it in place for the required a bit of cutting with an oscillating saw, then some tweaking with a box cutter as the shape of the back of the light is not perfectly rectangle, curved out more in the centers.
Just made up a harness with matching wires to the light's black and red(+) using 1/4" loom, tapped the reverse light with the red, used a ground ring and attached it to the chassis ground driver side front of first cross member using the original bolt. Even cleaned up that ground while I was in there.
Do they work, I can't tell?
My ocd would change 2 things: black out the sylvania (Yes, I remove dealer emblems when I buy a new vehicle) and slotted screw heads visible, reminds me of the '70's, marker lights with a screw head showing on both sides. I would change the bolts to black carriage type, and tighten the nuts from the inside, or install black caps over the screw head.

Yes they work, but they are not on in my pics. I may black out the name when I get around to it. The logs are counter sunk, and I did wipe them w/ adhesive remover and it did nothing to the white inset color. The screws don't bother me.

That was a hint. Maybe I should beg? Doc, can I please see your lights illuminated?
logo simply tape it off and a coat spray, same for the bolts, so they blend in, and don't rust or,
cap them:::> screwcaps
They look good Doc, can we get a few night time photos? Even a dusk photo would work since your old and probably can't stay up late enough for night shots...

Finally stayed up passed sunset! Went over to our vacant lot across the street to see what I could see.
When I back into the drive, EVERYTHING is lit up!
I was standing in front of these pine trees about 35 feet away from the truck when I pointed the Nikon at the lights.
