I have a 2008 h3 alpha and will be changing the harmonic balancer.
Can I just remove the fan shroud and skid plate to gain access to the balancer or is there more to it?

They are defnitely not the same for what I’m doing.
It looks like there is enough room if I remove the clutch fan which is also different on the LS engines.
Only way I have ever done it is with the Radiator out of the vehicle and the Condenser hanging off to the side. You might be able to fight with it for a while and leave the radiator in.... It would be a lot faster with the Radiator out of the way. I bet I could take mine out, R&R the Balancer, and put the Radiator back in faster than all the messing around trying to avoid that little bit of extra disassembly.
With that out of the way it is a straight shot with an Impact gun, puller then pusher, and final torque (Impact Uga-duggeda). I would think you will need to lock the flywheel to use a breaker bar otherwise?
