trying to install this trailer hitch by myself---any pointers to hold it up, while installing it?

 

Shove a large enough cardboard box under it.

bungie cords or some C-clamps?

 

I just installed mine. Was able to lay under the truck, lift one side up with my hands, and the other with my feet. I ran a tap through the holes first to clean them up. It helped to jack up one side of the truck to give more clearance between suspension members and the hitch. Not enough to lift the rear wheel off the ground; only a few inches.
