Default Ac light blinks 3 times when blower is not on ac not working

I just bought my first hummer and am so excited! I want to get all issues fixed as soon as possible. My ac doesn’t work but it is still fairly cold where I live, I just want to be ready for summer. I’ve read if the ac does the 3 lights blinking that means something is wrong. I took it to a shop and they replaced the climate control sensor I believe, but the three lights still blink only when I have the blower off. The shop told me they couldn’t add refrigerant because it is to cold out. Does the 3 blinking lights mean something is still wrong or is it just doing that because I don’t have the blower on? When the blower is on first it does not blink and stays on

So I guess ur saying that’s what’s going on. This is my first post on here. I’m a girl so I try to learn everything when and where I can about my cars… is it true they can not put refrigerant in if it’s too cold? If so I’m guessing I won’t be able to fully know if it is fixed until it is warm out?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your H3 HVAC regarding the 3 flashes without the fan on. I suggest you go online to GM and download the Owners Manual for your particular year H3 and READ!
If your statement "I try to learn everything when and where I can about my cars…" was true you would have read the Owners Manual FIRST.

Owner's Manual, who needs a stinking Manual, I don't need no stinking Manual................... just post up questions on the interweb forums and wait for answers, where we all know some answers are good, some are BS, and others are good BS.

What ever in the hell happened to when you bring a new to you vehicle home, you pull the owner's manual out of the glove box and read it, all of it, BEFORE you go out driving it??????

Seriously, what is wrong with world where people feel compelled to bash whenever someone asks an honest, but easy, question.

A forum like this exists to bring people together and help each other, not to attack and insult anyone who know less than you. For the bashers, if it makes you feel better about yourself to put other people down, you might want to look into therapy to help you with that.

To the OP, I apologize on behalf of everyone here who wasn’t able to give you a real answer before the condescending bashers took the thread down this path of negativity.

YES! Test/check vent temp/ac pressures in a heated garage! In order to properly charge automotive A/C system the ambient temperature should be above 65ºF. Anything below that does not allow the system to build up enough pressure for a proper reading on your pressure gauges.

Who do you think would win if we had a poll for the “ BIG JERK “ on the forum?
