Lightbulb 5.3l Headers / Manifold

Im looking to get something better on my alpha T.
I'm getting an exhaust smell into the cab, have no idea how and one heat shield is rattling away for rusted out mount holes.

Any thoughts? What about anything from here: https://www.holley.com/platform/hummer/h3/2009/

Intake, Cat back Exhaust, Efan conversion, and a PCM Tune or Pocket tuner if 2008/09.

Headers are not cheap or an easy install, but they will provide a slight improvement when matched with a custom exhaust. The factory Exhaust Manifolds for the 2008-10 H3/3T 5.3L are not the exhaust manifolds from yesteryear, they flow strong and are not near the choke point they were back in the day. Keep in mind these are heavy trucks intended for off road use and opting for high revving power boosts is not the best idea.

Good luck and have fun with it.

Thank you Doc, I hear you; would the cast Hooker 'Headers' fit directly as a bolt on from the link I pasted above? There are two sizes: 2.25" and 2.5"
