Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
I love my H3, but it seems when I get one thing fixed, something else happens. So a few days ago my 2006 H3 stopped unlocking the passenger side and both back doors when I put her in park. I checked the door lock program and it's set to Lock 1 which should unlock all doors. Everything else works fine. The door panel control was recently replaced and is about a month old. I tried disconnecting the negative battery cable to reset the BCM thinking it may help, but nope. Does anyone have any suggestions to get this working again? It's not a huge issue since I can still manually unlock the doors, but I like things to work the way they are intended. Thanks!
I didn't even think to check the other 2 modes . I'll do that tomorrow and put the old switch back in if I have time and see what happens. Thank for the suggestions!
Got to check the lock programming this morning before work. Lock 2 and Lock 3 are working correctly. Lock 1 is still acting like Lock 2 and doesn't unlock the passemger/back door when shifted into park. I'll put the old control switch back in after work to see if that changes anything.
The chime did stop after putting in the new control switch! Thanks for the help on that one
Well, swapped out the control switch and put the old one back in. Works fine now, so the brand new one crapped out in a little over a month(?). Whatever happened to quality?
I didn't advise you to buy that cheap crap? RU still getting the repeated 5x chimes on the oe switch? Just take the master switch apart and clean the board and pad with rubbing alcohol or crc electronic contact cleaner. Btw, my master switch is still! OE!
Watch these how to videos & clean the board/carbon contacts.
