Default 2008 H3 Oil Change Message Reset

Changed the oil but can not get message to reset and A/C keeps cutting out since dealer did warranty work on switch. Any advice

i sometime need to mess with resetting to get it right.
dealer did work, dealer gets it back, kiss.

Found the info here thanks. Turn key to on, hold down trip counter and press accelerator pedal 3 times or until hear a beep. worked

You do not need to touch the trip counter stick.

I've never tried the "accelerator pedal" method. From my '08 Owner's manual (just did it this weekend):

To reset the Engine Oil Life system:

1. With the engine off, turn the ignition to ON/RUN.

2. Press and release the stem in the lower center

of the instrument cluster until the OIL LIFE

message is displayed.

3. Once the alternating OIL LIFE and RESET

messages appear, press and hold the stem

until several beeps sound. This confirms that the oil

life system has been reset.

4. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF.


Didn't hear the beep, but it reset, so...

Didn't hear the beep, but it reset, so...
thats what i did. no beeps, did it again and it was ok. i was messing!!
