Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
My son has a 2007 H3 and I noticed when we bought it that the previous owner put a small aftermarket breather coming out of the front of the airbox. it passed California smog the first time a couple years back but when he went in today, they failed it since it was missing the hose. Guessing it's some sort of evap hose but does anyone know what hose that is and where it connects to on the engine? The problem is I don't have the truck here for me to look at which is why I'm asking.. thanks for the help
Good luck with that, it has been a discontinued "no longer available" part for a long while. GM 15103157 SAI Inlet Hose.
So.......... its gonna be Ebay, CarPart.com, local pick n pull, etc....
Look to see if the prior owner tucked the hose back under the Air Filter Box when they went aftermarket breather as it would be pretty dumb to remove the entire hose and leave the inlet at the pump open? The breather thing was a K&N part to one of their intakes and the guy probably stuck that in there when he sold the truck. Dumb is dumb.
If you can find 1 1/8" OD quick connect adapters (they go on the ends of the hose - one straight and one 90) then you could buy 1 1/8" ID emission hose and make one.
A big azzed pic of the 90 degree quick connect from my old 07.
