Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
The "actual" power I believe is around 480 to 500 watts RMS with 14V @ 4ohm.
Approx. 25w to the front tweets @ 4ohm (passive crossover)
Approx. 35w to each door @ 4ohm
Approx. 75w to each voice coil of the subwoofer (dual 2ohm sub). So they will receive approx. 125w to 150w due to the 2ohm load the amplifier sees.
I saw somewhere???? the Monsoon System is 500 watts peak and 240 RMS per GM.
Split 120 4ohms to the doors and tweeters and 120 to the sub which is a dual voice coil at 2ohms each coil.
I know the stock tweeters use an integrated high pass crossover.
Not sure what amp you guys are referring to? Oem for the H3 is;;> 15086821 & 15851584
Root means square(RMS) refers to how much continuous power an amplifier can output
Fuse #38 is 25a, capable of 350 watts @14v and fuses are always overrated!
I've listened to my stereo full volume many times while driving@14.5v, and parked, resting voltage @12.5v, and never blew the fuse, all speakers/sub oem, still working and sound great.
Down to earth, 25(amps) x14 (volts) x.6(efficiency)=210 RMS
Btw, there are many sites that refer to gm's oem amp(late '90's to today) @ 200w rms.
