Default 07 Hummer H3 making noise when turning on front passenger side.

Last weekend I took the kids to the river through the mud holes with the Hummer. Nothing to deep and I didn’t dog it or anything. I believe the deepest spot what mid way on the wheels. Heading home I noticed a clanking/grinding sound in the front passenger side. I have inspected it and cannot seem to find the issue. At first I thought mud was lodged in somewhere. Now I’m thinking it my be my cv axle. Any ideas??

MOVED from the wrong section. HF Help & Suggestion Center, like it says at the top of that section is NOT for vehicle questions, but is for questions/suggestions on how to use forum features, like posting a pic, etc....

All H3 questions go in the H3 section.

Get under and do a visual inspection of the half shaft CV joints and boots. A common thing is to get a rock or debris stuck in behind the brake shield that either makes contact with the rotor or the wheel itself when rotating and then makes a racket until it falls out or you remove it.

This is what I was thinking. Has to be something small because I previously had no problems what’s so ever. I planned to wake up this morning to work/take a look ,but unfortunately it is raining. I’ll keep y’all posted. It will be either after the rain or tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions y’all.

Sounds like you got some junk in your boot or other...

Get the power washer out and do some spray and pray...
