So the mid gate window in my 2008 SUT will not go down. I checked and replaced the fuse in the drivers compartment, and that's not the issue. The mod gate window, and the all down window switches won't bring it down, although the all down window button works for all other windows. I have removed the midget panel, to ensure the gate is fully closed, and that's not the problem.
are there any other fuses, perhaps in the midget itself, or any other ideas to try?
I think your gonna have to pull the panel on the midgate that allows you to get to the regulator. Unless the midgate window is in the fully down position the midgate release button won't do anything.
You may have a midgate window failed motor. Seems from what you have done so far this would be your next step.

Ive had the back panel off, checking to see if it was latched securely, so that the window would go down. That was not the issue though.
What is the best way to test the motor. I have the wiring diagram so I will know what wires are what.
Using a volt meter check the power coming into the motor, have someone operate the all windows down button while you check for 12V, if you got power the motor has failed or could be jammed.
Have power to the switches via the ingintion wire. have power to the motor thru the yellow ignition wire as well, but not getting power from the orange wire that comes from the midget fuse under the dash. Fuse is OK, not sure if the issue is at that point. wiring diagram for 2008 h2 set midgate
Don, does the midgate window have a module attached to it or is separate part. A couple of questions, you don't have a midgate ajar message active? I would check the following pins on the midgate module, pin 20 orange 12v, pin 10 orange 12v, pin 6 and 16 ground.
and finally pin 8 yellow 12v as well. Looks like if pin 1 has a signal on it the module will not allow the window to operate, since I cant see the bottom of the schematic I do not know if this would be a switched ground or 12v.
I would also pull the connector and carefully check pins 2 and 3, its possible you may simply have a corrosion issue on the connector.
no midgate ajar message. Disconnected the plug from the motor and tried the voltmeter on the orange wires 20, and 10, and did not have power to them. Thought those were constant power, has power to the midgate circuit breaker under the dash.
pin 8 yellow was showing 12 volts when the key was turned on the midgate motor plug.
was wondering if there was a bad wire that signal the midgate is closed secure, but the no power to orange is what has me confused and thinking that is the issue.
Don, pins 10 and 20 is directly fed by the fuse and must have 12volts on them.
The module looks like it monitors the ajar circuit and will not switch power and ground to pins 2, 3 and 18 depending if the windows is to be lowered or raised.
If you are missing power on 10 and 20 nothing is going to work. Also, are you sure these are fused under the dash, according to the schematic power is provided by a fuse located in the left instrument access panel, this would also be the area where the harness that goes back to the midgate would be located. You could check pin 7 to see if you have an active ajar signal on the module, I don't know if this would be 12 volts or ground because the bottom of the schematic is cut off. If you have the factory manual there should be a circuit discription depicting exactly how the circuit works. If I get a chance later tonight I will fire up my CD based manual (its for an earlier model but its probably the same)
