Fairly new member but use this hummer forum as a resource often and what a great group it is, my issue is this the master controls gm# 15186208 are fried on my truck, i cannot locate a used replacement and refuse to pay the $300 for new, thru research i have noticed that the master controls for other GM trucks are identical same switches buttons etc and the connections are as well, for example gm # 15883429 from a GMC pick up is identical?? i even googled the 15883429 and it comes up as the master control for HummerH2 2003 to 2009??? i can purchase that part for $40 .. does anyone havany experience in cross referencing and using alternative gm parts ? you all know any part with the word Hummer in it cost way more than the same part used on a GM or chevy pick up, recently out of work and moneys tight, this new dictator puppet socialist regime in the white house has KILLED the oil and gas drilling biz in Texas so gotta save money.. any help here ???

 

Are you speaking about the DDM (drivers door module) in the drivers door? These should be easy to find. For what its worth the part you mentioned will fit H2 from 03 to 07, they changed them in 08/09 and use a different part number and design.
You should not have any problem finding this part, they are all over ebay used for under $100 and the part number 15883429 is the correct one for your model year. And since you are using a used part you should not have the issue of having to program the module. For the most part its plug and play.
