Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Worried about Power

From all the reading I and research I did before I purchased my H2 I was worried about power. Well now after my purchase I am very pleased with the power this 6.0 put out. 😉

Thats really awesome. Good for you, Love it.

I'm currently debating going the supercharger route ($6K-$7K) or putting in a 470HP LS3 crate engine from "BluePrint" engines.

Leaning towards the new engine as everything is new and just need to upgrade intake and injectors for the most part.

Numb, that is pretty neat to have a supercharger.

Zenith, that long block has some good numbers, $6k Seems like a lot to me, but I am still stuck in the 70's

Very hard on them.... our transmissions (4L65E) are already strained due to the weight of the vehicle and typically only last to around 150k miles without a supercharger. I've seen others with superchargers reporting going through a transmission every couple of years. That being said, a 4L65E can be rebuilt with much better and stronger parts to handle 500hp but you need to find the right shop that knows what they are doing to build one right that will last when the time comes to replace it.

Yes I would say the supercharger will be hard on the tranny. When the time comes I feel I will have it rebuilt to a tranny that can handle it.

i would also worry about 20 year old transfer case chains not holding up on sudden accelerations.
