Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Where to put a 2-way radio in a H2 ? ?

Looking at purchasing a fully loaded 2003 H2, these things are way too "pimped out". Where have you guys installed any 2-way radios ? ? ?
What about the overhead console, can it be modified ? ?
I run with the local Sheriff's office Search & Rescue and serve with the Ambulance crew as an EMT-B.

You have a couple of options.

Option 1:
http://www.eeaston.com/hummer-projects/cb-install

Option 2:
http://www.rubberduck4x4.com/h2/interior/cbmount/

Option 3: Buy this radio

Then mount it where your onstar is currently found in your dash. The OnStar in the 03 is obsolite so unless you are going to have it updated to digital its usless. The digital update is like $200 minimum and in my opinion its not worth the upgrade. So just take it out and mounty the Cobra CB there.

I installed the Cobra 75 WX ST 40-channel CB a few years back. It has a small box that you can tuck in the dash or console somewhere and all the controls are on the handheld. Then I mounted my Firestiks on the tire carrier...one on each side of the spare.

Yeah this has plagued me as well, it's easy to do a remote mount unit (all controls on the mic), but I have yet to find a remote unit that has a PA, and let's be honest, that's just good ol fashion fun. :P
