Transmission only shifts manually.
I have a 2003 H2 i ordered a transmission from monster transmission after i installed it i put it in drive and it doesnt move only the rpms go up but if I shift it to 1st it works fine does anybody know what it could be?
Did you update the calibration in the PCM for the transmission? Yet another good use for the Tech 2.
It should..... And I emphasize should, not 100% positive.... But I think it should be okay shifting manually to the nearest transmission shop where they will probably empty your wallet $180 to update the calibration. I would call a transmission specialist first before driving.
If it was the 6L80 on the newer vehicles, you don't even want to start the engine before programming is done. Bad things happen.

as hummerz asked, did you fill the trans with the correct amount of fluid?
if so then check the linkage and make sure its in the correct position.
then have a conversation with Monster Trans about the issue your having.

This is the second transmission that they send me the first one I instaland i didn't update calibration and it worked good for about a year then I sent it back because both snap rings blew off the input drum. Caused by a part failure is what they said.. it's a 4L65E
they were the only ones that would give me a warranty on the transmission everyone else wouldnt because of the lift and tires
