Going to order the complete passenger side Mirror assembly. Is It bolt on and plug and play or does it require any programing?? 2009 H2 Lux

for the 08,
nothing in the SI about re-programing after replacement,
tighten bolts to 18 lb ft (seems a little high to me)

Thanks Neal,
What looks more involved is removing the door panel. I did watch a YT video on replacing the power window motor regulator. But when it came to the part where the panel was off and the insulation material was shown and how to peel it off it didn't show if the bolts for the power mirror arm were visible? If they are then all that is required other then disconnecting the electrical connectors is to remove the 4 bolts and remove the mirror arm with the insulation is still intact.

I'll have to check some more videos unless you know if after the panel is off you can get to those bolts without going any further.

Just got done searching YT for 08-09 passenger side mirror arm removal.....Na-Da. Nothing on just doing that. Plenty on removing door panel for PW repair.
Kinda makes you Frustrated. Can't seem to get a shot or locate how to get to those 4 bolts.

I'll see if I can find my shop manual and go thru it ..it's just like 3 phone books thick....!!!

Yeah I tracked down my Manual which was buried with some other gack. On Page 2-80 It starts with " Front Side Door window switch bezel REPLACEMENT..?

Then Page 2-82 Front Side Door Trim Panel REPLACEMENT? 2-83 They skip to the rear door.. I guess you follow replacement rather then REMOVAL?

What page were you looking at for removal Passenger Door? I get the flow of removal but who wrote this manual...L.O.L.

Also funny..... look at Page 4-211 where they tell you.... Oh.. Just use your fingers to Pop out the side power mirror for replacement...LMAO.

Thanks for your research Neal..You da Man.

I use Mitchell 1 DIY, supposed to be straight from GM SI
its an electronic subscription so no page numbers

Yes the Mitchell SI also says to push the mirror in at the lower outer corner and grab the upper inner corner and pop the mirror glass out with light pressure and cautions of course

10-4 0n the electronic subscription. I have the paper manuals which are 3 books. Heavy as hell. They were in the garage buried with my Corvette stuff. Caution of course is a Joke L.O.L. Any way I found the complete mirror assembly which I will order tomorrow. Then I will try and remove the Mirror on the 2. If I get it out I'll change the motor and reinstall the mirror glass if I don't break it. Then I end up with a spare to put into my parts stock.

New idea. a Glass suction cup. I was looking at this as an Idea to pull the Mirror out of the housing... Thoughts??? Yes/No

just might work, will help reduce the localized pressure at the corner when prying the glass out.

Thanks Neal.... Working on ebay this mirror looks like an 08 -09 but seller says it's 03-07 . I thought the 07's have the bent arm. Then I see some with straight arm calling it the 07.Confusing.... look at this array of Mirrors..?????? WTF is the difference. If the Glass measures 8 3/4 diagonally I should be able to use it in my 09?
The New one listed by a dealer was not in stock. So that one is out.
