Time for a shock replacement/upgrade?
Been noticing the truck has felt harsh over some local potholes (I do my best to avoid) and even on the trail up the mountain lately. Sitting around 90k miles and I don’t believe the shocks were ever replaced prior to my ownership mid last year.
looking at the shock itself, seals seem ok (no leakage). The bushings are hard to examine without taking out and as mentioned, likely not replaced since 2005 assembly.
I don’t mind so much but dogs, wife, kids probably wouldn’t mind a bit softer/more absorption. I also have a rack on the top so added weight probably doesn’t help. Is this just the normal ride or probably should consider replacing/upgrading the shocks? HPG has OEM 12k on sale for $97 which seems like great price if going that route. Also, looks like MM has some Cepek shocks which look like a decent option.
Thanks for sharing your experience!

I did order the controller for in-cab but have heard some have issues with leakage. Even so, seems like the way to go for now.
I’m excited to see what it’s all about. The community seems very positive on them.
