I'm afraid to ask because I know these sunroofs are impossible to find parts for or repair, but here goes anyway.

My 2008 H2 sunroof glass bounces up and down on the driver side when driving. It makes a very irritating rattle on the drivers side, right above my head !! I can push up on the glass on the driver side and it feels loose, whereas the passenger side feels pretty firm. I feel the track and system is not bouncing, just the glass. Where do I even start with this?

 

you look for loose or missing screws?

 

I did but it's hard to see and I didn't find anything that looked off

Mine has done this forever. I don’t know how to fix it but it doesn’t do it when the shade is closed. Also I removed the plastic wind deflector and that cut down on the clanking noise.

 

This may sound a bit hayseed...Until you figure it out, I used a rolled up rag, carefully crammed in the space between the headliner and top to stop the rattle. Pull the cover closed over the rag and it was better than new.
