Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
picked up a replacement set of the audio/info switches on the steering wheel.
do they just pop out or does the wheel and or the airbag have to be removed
this is what the back of the switch looks like
in case anyone is interested the top 2 were able to be changed, wires were very tight but doable
bottom 2 wires are too short, guess airbag will have to be pulled.
On our 05 I was able to only replace the top two. Even those were tough to reach and plug back in. The bottom ones the wires were too short.
May need to watch a video on how to remove the airbags myself if that’s the only way.
Airbag removal is dead simple..... just a small flathead screwdriver and pry to the side in the two holes on the backside of the steering wheel. Probably can find youtube videos if you search for Silverado or Tahoe airbag removal since they are identical.
